Stop Addiction - Dispose of unused medication Oct. 28 at CCH

Area community members are encouraged to bring unused or expired medications to the drop for proper disposal. Medications should be brought in original containers with the personal identification blanked out or removed. Loose medications will also be accepted. A drive up and drop off format will be available.

Sharps, needles, injectors or sprays will not be accepted at the medication drop. Columbus Community Hospital offers a separate sharps collection program to the community. For more information about proper medication disposal or the CCH sharps collection program, contact Columbus Community Hospital at 920-623-1280 or pwalker@cch-inc.com

Medication take-back programs and events are aimed at reducing the quantity of unused pharmaceuticals entering the environment and water supply, and reducing the amount of drugs available for diversion, theft, or accidental poisoning. A medication disposal box is available at the Columbus Police Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Thank you to the generous donors of the 2015 CCH Walk in the Park who made the purchase of the disposal box possible.
